Call for Submissions: Spotlighting LGBTQ+-Inclusive Fieldwork

Date

The ESRC LSSI-funded Pride in the Field (PIF): Promoting Inclusive Fieldwork for LGBTQ+ Researchers project, led by Martin Zebracki at the University of Leeds, will be running a blog series which aims to spotlight LGBTQ+-inclusive fieldwork practices and experiences.

The series will highlight the key issues facing LGBTQ+ researchers in the field, the challenges of researching with LGBTQ+ communities, and what practices and measures researchers and research institutions can and have put in place to ensure research is safe for and inclusive of LGBTQ+ researchers and research participants.

We are looking for contributions from a broad set of disciplinary and professional perspectives. The blogs will be between 500-1000 words in length and written in an accessible style. The PIF project team will be able to offer advice and support. The blogs will be hosted on the forthcoming PIF blog site and will also be pitched on behalf of the authors to appropriate not-for-profit media outlets, including platforms that contributors might recommend.

If you are interested in making a submission, please contact the PIF Project Officer Aydan Greatrick at a.e.greatrick@leeds.ac.uk.

The timescale for submissions is flexible, and we will aim to run the series with a swift turnaround time from April to August 2021.
